FocusPad is operated by Jackson George Canellis, an Illinois sole proprietor, with a registered address at 15601 Julies Way, Orland Park, IL 60462, United States ("FocusPad," "we," "us," "our").

For privacy questions, or to exercise any of the rights described in this policy:

The FocusPad app stores the following information locally on your iPhone, where it remains under your control:

• The list of apps and websites you've chosen to block
• Your session settings (length, schedule, restrictions)
• Your session history (when sessions started and ended)
• The Screen Time framework data required for the FamilyControls APIs to function

This data does not leave your device. We have no way to access it. Deleting the app removes it.

We only collect information that you actively provide:

• Email address. If you sign up for our launch list or contact us for support, we store your email so we can reply to you or notify you when the app ships.
• Support correspondence. Any messages you send us, including their content and any attachments, so we can help you.
• Account information (post-launch, if applicable). If FocusPad later adds optional features that require an account, we will store the minimum necessary — email and an authentication token. We will update this policy before launching any such feature.

• App Store analytics. Apple may share aggregated, privacy-preserving statistics about app installs and crashes via App Analytics, if you have not opted out in your iOS Settings. This data is anonymized by Apple before we see it. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar) inside the app.
• Website analytics. focuspad.co may use a privacy-preserving analytics service to count page views in aggregate. This service does not use cookies or collect personal information. If we ever change this, we will update this policy first.

We use your email address and any support correspondence only to:

• Send you launch-related emails, if you've joined our launch list (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email)
• Reply to your support questions
• Send important service notices (security issues, material changes to this policy)

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose unrelated to the ones above.

Legal bases for processing (EU/UK GDPR): We rely on (a) legitimate interest to operate and secure the service and respond to support inquiries, and (b) your consent for marketing communications such as our launch list. You may withdraw consent at any time.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share the limited information we hold (essentially: your email address, when you've given it to us) only with service providers who help us operate. We require these providers to handle your data only on our instructions and to maintain appropriate security. As of the effective date of this policy, our service providers include:

• Vercel Inc. — hosts the focuspad.co website
• Apple Inc. — distributes the FocusPad app via the App Store, and provides aggregated App Analytics

We will update this list if it changes.

We may also disclose information if required by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena), or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

• Email addresses on our launch list: retained until you unsubscribe, or until the launch list is no longer in use, whichever is sooner. You can request deletion at any time.
• Support correspondence: retained for up to 24 months after our last interaction with you, then deleted.
• On-device app data: retained on your device until you delete it. Uninstalling the FocusPad app removes all of it.

Depending on where you live, you have rights over the personal information we hold about you. Because we hold so little, exercising these rights is usually straightforward.

• Access the personal information we hold about you (almost always: just your email address)
• Rectify inaccurate personal information
• Erase your personal information ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to our processing
• Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

• Know what personal information we collect about you and how it is used
• Delete the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share it)
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any)
• Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

Email privacy@focuspad.co with your request. We'll respond within 30 days (or sooner, where required by law). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request — usually by confirming the request from the email address we have on file.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

We operate from the United States, and the limited information we hold (your email address, support correspondence) is processed there. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism when transferring personal information out of those regions.

FocusPad is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact privacy@focuspad.co and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard security practices to protect the limited information we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular review of our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The strongest security feature of FocusPad is architectural: the most sensitive information — what apps you block, how and when you use your phone — never reaches us in the first place.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you by email (if we have your address) or by prominent notice on focuspad.co at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Non-material changes (such as fixing typos or clarifying language) may be made without notice.
